Lifetime warranty

"Lifetime warranty" program

In order to access any type of assistance, all Roll-Line products must necessarily have a minimum standard maintenance listed below categorized by product type.

If one or more points are not respected, and it is found that this failure has led to the deterioration of one or more parts of a product, Roll-Line reserves the right to refuse the free exchange of the component and the retailer where the intervention is carried is authorized to request payment as indicated in this price list.

Some consumable parts require periodic replacement which is listed below; keeping in mind that any replaced part must necessarily be original (i.e. bearing the Roll-Line logo on it).

It is advisable to inspect (and possibly replace) all parts of the skate at least once a year, paying particular attention to: Kingpins, Trucks and pivot pins, Self-locking nuts for wheels, Nylon pivot cups, Toestops screws, Other screws, Cushion nuts and washers.

Plates

  • The plate must be well fixed to the boot using all the provided screws (there must be no unused mounting holes).
  • The fixing screws must necessarily be those sold by Roll-Line or supplied by the boot manufacturers. The use of any other screw is not foreseen or accepted by Roll-Line.
  • The “passing-through” mounting screws must be sheared correctly and have no sharp edges.
  • Periodically check that the kingpins are well fixed to the frame.
  • Periodically check the presence of grease in the toestop housing and on the its screw and apply new grease if necessary. Use Teflon grease (commonly purchased at any hardware store).
  • Periodically check that the pivot pin is inserted with a light pressure into its cap.
  • Periodically check the correct tightness of the pivot pin nut.
  • Periodically check the state of wear of the pivot cup.
  • Periodically check the state of wear of the self-locking nuts for fastening the wheels.
  • Periodically check the condition of the trucks checking that they do not have bent axles or pivot pin, tangled hair or other impurities that could prevent correct sliding of the bearings and that in general there are no visibly damaged or scratched parts (synonymous with incorrect steering adjustments).
  • Do not store damp skates inside the sports bag as humidity and sweat can cause oxidation.

USAGE TIMES OF CONSUMABLE PARTS
The frames, if do not show obvious signs of wear (cracks) or damages to the toestop thread*, do not require periodic replacement.

Wheels

  • Use the wheels exclusively on the type of surface for which they were designed.
  • Use the foresight of moving the wheels from an internal to an external position and vice versa to prolong their usage time.
  • Replace the wheels promptly when they begin to have an conical shape.
  • Always check that the wheels turn correctly without oscillations or abnormal play.
  • Periodically clean the wheels, removing dust with a cloth and washing them with water and neutral soap. Avoid the use of aggressive products such as alcohol, petrol, trichlorethylene etc.

USAGE TIMES OF CONSUMABLE PARTS
According to consumption, when they have a conical shape, it is necessary to replace them. Using the foresight of moving the wheels from an internal to an external position and vice versa helps to prolong their usage time.

Toestops

  • Check the wear of the toestops before each use.
  • Make sure the locking screw is closed correctly, checking that the toestops do not rotate.
  • Periodically check the condition of the toestops screw and the presence of grease on it to ensure an excellent tightening.
  • Use the provided Allen key correctly, perfectly centering in into the intended housing, avoiding consequent stripping of the screw head.
  • Avoid overtightening to avoid damaging the threads.
  • Use the toestops respecting the suggested distance from the ground.
  • Avoid unscrewing the toestops stem excessively, it never has to be under the locking screw.
  • Change the toestops promptly when they begin to show excessive wear.
  • When adjusting, periodically rotate the toestops slightly, so as to avoid excessive lateral consumption and to prolong their usage time.

USAGE TIMES OF CONSUMABLE PARTS
According to consumption, when they begin to show excessive wear, it is necessary to replace them. Periodically rotating the toestops slightly helps prolong the usage time.

Bearings

  • Periodically check that the bearings rotate smoothly and without noise.
  • Clean the bearings periodically, taking care to: remove the bearings from the wheels using the bearing press/puller, use specific products from the Roll-Line range for cleaning and lubrication*, avoid aggressive products (alcohol, petrol, etc.).
  • In the absence of specific products, alternatively use a small quantity of diesel fuel.
  • Dry the bearings thoroughly after the cleaning process using a cloth or paper towel.
  • Avoid using a compressor to avoid subjecting the bearing to excessive speeds which could damage the internal ball cage.
  • Do not store damp skates inside the sports bag as humidity and sweat can cause oxidation.
  • Respect the maximum usage times recommended by Roll-Line.

USAGE TIMES OF CONSUMABLE PARTS
If used assiduously (frequent training and competition) the bearings should be replaced periodically (6 months) to guarantee an excellent performance. Regular cleaning and lubrication help prolong the usage time.

Cushions

  • Be sure to use the correct cushions based on your weight and the pressure applied when performing edges.
  • Only use the cushion kit specific for the used plate.
  • Check that the adjustment nut is always positioned in the standard position.
  • Respect the limits of use of the cushion adjustment system.
  • Make sure there are no cracks or missing parts on the cushion surface.
  • Respect the maximum usage times recommended by Roll-Line.

USAGE TIMES OF CONSUMABLE PARTS
The cushions should be replaced periodically (6 months) even if NOT used assiduously (frequent training and competition) as they are subject to a normal aging process which determines a lower degree of reactivity.
