Linea

Linea

The Linea frame (plate) was created by the grand abilities of the Roll Line© designers, and presents a revolutionary system with 6 adjustable positions in order to simulate the same rocking of the edge offered by an ice-skating blade, and created to offer the greatest performance for all in-line skaters.

  • Created from a solid block of aerospace-derived aluminum, the frame guarantees strong resistance to impacts, and to the tensions and torsions associated with in-line skating.
  • The unique inclination of the toestop offers the best angle for the execution of jumps and spins.
  • The Linea frame is mountable on both roller-and ice-skating boots.
  • For ease and compatibility, the frame is the only one with sizing in inches.
  • Ambra toestops, ABEC 7 bearings, spacers, posterior protection kit, power wedges, and tool kit included.

Toestop angle

When compared to other similar products, the Linea plate is characterized by the best toestop angle.
This particular configuration allows an excellent execution of spins and jumps

Jumps

The choice of the toestop

Especially for ice skaters, the "baby" toestop can help to achieve a deeper lateral bending.
The picture shows the difference between camber with normal toestop and with baby toestop.

Bumper kit

The Linea plates are the only ones in its category equipped with a rear Bumper Kit. The Bumper Kit can also be applied on the front using the accessory sold separately (cod. KITPARACOLPI).
It is advisable to consider these components as consumable parts, in particular, when using them, pay attention to:

  • screw the wheel axle firmly
  • use the spring washer
  • use the spacers for the bearings
  • screw in the bumper screw only AFTER screwing in the wheel axle
  • DO NOT use the bumper screw to tighten the wheel axle at the same time

Not following the correct installation of the components can lead to:

  • lateral rocking of the wheels
  • unforeseen unscrewing of the wheel axles
  • possible loss of wheels

Use of spacers

It is compulsory to use spacers (cod. STDI08) supplied together with the Linea skates.
In fact, these ensure an excellent parallelism of the bearings, optimizing their sliding and efficiency.
Failure to use them can cause unwanted oscillation of the wheels which could compromise the normal performance of the frame.

Spring washers

It is very important to periodically check the condition of the spring washers (code KITROEL) supplied with the Linea frame.
It is good to consider this component as a consumable part, with use, in fact they tend to flatten and do not guarantee excellent functioning.
In particular, if not promptly replaced, unpleasant problems may occur such as:

  • lateral rocking of the wheels
  • unforeseen unscrewing of the wheel axles
  • possible loss of wheels

For more info on how to change wheels and the correct use of spacers and washers, watch the video tutorial.

Control and maintenance

It is advised to verify the condition of your equipment at every use.
In particular, it is advised to check:

  • the plate is securely attached to the boot
  • the king-pins are securely fastened to the plate
  • the state of wear of the bumpers
  • the wheels and lock nuts are in good condition
  • the state of wear (flattening) of the spring washers
  • the proper roll of the bearings
  • the toestops are in good condition, well-positioned, and clean
